How It's Calculated
The date difference calculator counts on a real calendar, with months of different lengths. Each part of the result has its own rule:
days = end date − start date
weeks = days ÷ 7, the remainder in days: 53 days = 7 weeks 4 days
months = whole months counted from the start day. If the month has no such day, its last day is used: Jan 31 to Feb 28, 2026 is 1 month, and Jan 31 to Mar 1, 2026 is 1 month 1 day
end date = not counted; Include end date adds exactly 1 day (24 hours)
leap years = handled by the calendar: Feb 28 to Mar 1, 2028 is 2 days, in 2027 it's 1 day
times = wall-clock time, as you enter it; daylight saving changes are ignored. 9:00 AM on Mar 7, 2027 to 9:00 AM on Mar 15, 2027 is 8 d 0 h, even though US clocks change on Mar 14

Are these calendar days or business days?

Does the count include the start and end date?
The count runs from the start date up to the end date, so the end date isn't included: Nov 2 to Dec 25, 2026 is 53 days. Check Include end date and both are counted, which gives 54 days.
